One thing that cannot be done during this journey to literacy is Catch up. This goes for everything you planned to do in L2 but failed to do. It shouldn't be looked down upon but just forgoten. Forget that you were suppose to be at the Half-way mark of RTK by this point. What you need to do is just continue on at the same pace. Don't try to catch up and burn out in the process if you're sitting there twiddling your thumbs and want to do more reps then by all means do it but stop BEFORE it is too much. Always leave wanting more and you will continue to move at the pace you set.
If I am in the mood to do more Kanji What I do is input more stories. So I'm looking ahead to get the stories that I want to use sorted out but I'm not reviewing them. Sometimes I'll review like 5 more or something like that if I really get the urge but I don't allow myself to do this unless I added 1.5 times the number of Cards I want to do to the stories. Currently my stories are up to 825 and I'm at the 777 card (stopped cuz I liked the number ). So I have less than two days accounted for. I Kind of want to move up to 800 because I have only about 60 reviews tomorrow but I won't let myself until I add say 35 stories.
I was suppose to be at a point farther than this but I have missed days or didn't do the double amount of cards on weekends. But I'm not afraid because I'm staying consistent.
